1. Definitions

In these Terms, the following words have the following meanings:

• "We" / "Us" / "Our" — Bualuangtad Law, a legal practice in Thailand
• "You" / "Client" — the person or entity engaging our services
• "Service" — the legal service described in a written engagement agreement
• "Agreement" — the engagement letter or written confirmation of service scope and fees
• "Matter" — the inheritance or estate issue in respect of which we are engaged

2. Acceptance of terms

By returning a signed engagement letter or by instructing us to proceed after receiving it, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are acting on behalf of an estate or third party, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

3. Services

We offer three legal services for inheritance and estate matters in Thailand:

• Inheritance Guidance Session (฿4,450) — private meeting with written summary
• Estate Settlement Help (฿9,800) — document management and administration, typically one to three months
• Full Inheritance Representation (฿17,100) — contested or complex matter management including court attendance

The precise scope of each engagement is set out in the written Agreement. Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice or creates a lawyer-client relationship until an Agreement is signed.

4. User responsibilities

You agree to:

1. Provide us with accurate and complete information relevant to your matter
2. Notify us promptly of any changes in circumstances that affect the matter
3. Make available documents and information we reasonably request
4. Not instruct other lawyers on the same matter without informing us
5. Use our website lawfully and not attempt to access systems without authorisation

5. Payment terms

Service fees are payable as follows:

• Inheritance Guidance Session: payment in full prior to the meeting
• Estate Settlement Help: 50% on engagement, 50% on completion
• Full Inheritance Representation: payment schedule agreed in writing at engagement

All fees are quoted in Thai baht. Payment by bank transfer to our designated account. Receipts are issued for all payments.

If a matter expands beyond the agreed scope, any additional fees will be discussed with you and confirmed in writing before additional work begins.

6. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, structure, and design — is owned by or licensed to Bualuangtad Law. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. Documents and written summaries produced as part of your engagement are for your use in relation to your matter.

7. Disclaimers

Our services are provided with reasonable professional care and skill. However:

• We cannot give any assurance about the outcome of a court proceeding or dispute
• General information on this website does not constitute legal advice for your specific situation
• We are not responsible for decisions taken by courts, government offices, or third parties

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or unforeseeable losses.

9. Confidentiality

All information you share with us is held in strict legal professional confidence. We will not disclose your information to third parties without your consent, except as required by law or court order. Our full data handling practices are described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Termination

Either party may end the engagement by giving written notice. If you terminate, fees are payable for work completed to the date of termination. If we terminate for a legitimate professional reason (such as a conflict of interest arising after engagement), we will give reasonable notice and assist with transition.

11. Dispute resolution

We encourage any concerns to be raised with us directly in the first instance. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be referred to mediation before litigation. These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. The courts of Chonburi Province shall have jurisdiction.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this address. Changes do not affect engagements already in progress under the previous version.
